Graffiti reading “TCNJ is filled with high and drunk white people I hate this school” was found on the wall above a urinal in the Library on Monday, Oct. 17. Reports say that the writing had apparently been there for over a week, but it is unclear when exactly it was written. Building Services was contacted to remove it.

A female student told police the lock to her room in Wolfe Hall had been superglued shut for the third time that week at 1:45 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 13. Police say a second victim, a Community Advisor on the first floor of that same building, reported her door had also been damaged around the same time.

An intoxicated male was found standing at the main lobby doors of the Campus Police station at around 1:45 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 8. The male, who was not a College student, stated that he had been visiting a friend who attended the College and the two had been drinking alcohol at an unknown off-campus party. Reports say that he was dropped off at the police station alone by a taxi because he needed assistance. His mother was contacted and came to pick him up.

An intoxicated Cromwell Hall resident was transported to Capital Health Systems, Mercer Campus at 4 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 9. An officer was called to the scene and found the female student with a flushed face, sitting with her head by a toilet containing vomit. According to reports, the student said she had been drinking vodka on campus but could not tell how much she had consumed, although she did know that it had been a lot. Lions EMS arrived to assume patient care before Pennington Road EMS arrived to transport her for further evaluation.

A male student reported his sneakers stolen from the Packer Hall men’s locker room on Monday, Oct. 7. Police say that the victim claimed that he had left his sneakers on the floor of the locker room before using the pool, and returned to find them missing. He described them as being a size 11 ½ and having a canvas top. They are worth $80.

A female student filed a theft report for a stolen wristlet on Thursday, Oct. 20. The victim said that she had left her blue Vera Bradley wristlet on a couch in the Atrium of the Social Sciences Building after sitting down to make a phone call. Reports say that she realized that she did not have the wristlet at about 3:20 p.m., and proceeded to check the Atrium, Brower Student Center, Library and the classrooms that she had been in that day to negative results. The wristlet and its contents are worth $440.50, including $40 in cash.

A rear license plate was reportedly removed from a vehicle in the Carlton Avenue Construction Lot on Thursday, Oct. 7. Police say that the man who filed the theft report claimed that he had parked his company vehicle in the lot on Wednesday, Oct. 6 at 7 a.m. When he returned at 4 p.m. he saw that his license plate was missing. The area was checked to negative results. The license plate is worth $10.

A female student reported the theft of her wristlet and its contents to police on Sunday, Oct. 10. The victim said that at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 9, she had her wristlet when using her TCNJ ID to swipe into the Lion EMS room in Decker Hall. She then exited Decker Hall, entered a friend’s car parked in Lot 11-A and then left campus. Police say that she was unsure if she had her wristlet at this time. She realized that it was lost at about 12:30 p.m. when looking for her TCNJ ID. She checked D Street, Lot 11-A and Decker Hall, but could not find it. The red and pink Vera Bradley wristlet contained a New Jersey Drivers License, a TCNJ ID, a PNC Debit/Visa card, an EMT certification card, a TCNJ room key, Rx medication and $15 in cash. The total worth of the wristlet and its contents is $77.

A visitor to the College was issued a summons for underage drinking at 2:25 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12. Officers were called to Norsworthy Hall on the report of an unresponsive female and found the accused lying on the ground. She was breathing but unresponsive to questioning. Police say that after several attempts to wake her, she said that she was visiting the College and had consumed shots of alcohol earlier in the evening. Lions EMS and Pennington Road EMS arrived and evaluated her.

An intoxicated male student was found leaning against the hallway wall outside of his room in New Residence Hall at 2:20 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 15. Police say that when an officer arrived, he noticed that the student’s breath smelled strongly of alcohol and that he was having trouble standing upright. Pennington Road EMS arrived to transport him to Mercer Medical Center. He was issued a summons for underage drinking.

A male student claimed that he was assaulted during a casual basketball game on Tuesday, Oct. 11. The victim and a friend explained to police that the victim and the accused were playing basketball in the Athletic Recreation Center when the accused got mad, grabbed the victim by the shirt, ripped it and threw him to the ground. Police say that scratch marks on the victim’s neck were consistent with his statement. The victim stated that he and the accused has been taunting each other verbally during the game. The victim did not want to sign a complaint at this time.
