The Student Finance Board (SFB) unanimously awarded $738 for the "Synergy Spring Recital." The Synergy Dance Company will perform several different styles of dances, which have been choreographed by its members.
Funding is to be used to rent Kendall Hall for the night, as well as for costumes, programs and publicity. There will be a $5 ticket price for non-students.
This event is scheduled to take place on April 13 in Kendall Hall.
In the only other request of the meeting, Prism asked for $291 for its "Love/Pride: TCNJ Queer Wedding 2008." SFB unanimously awarded $214, reducing the number of photocopies from 300 to 200 and subtracting a half-page Signal ad.
"It's a good event and they do it every year," Maya Wadya, SFB assistant financial director, said. "The prices are also very reasonable."
Prism used the allotted money for wedding decorations, food and baking supplies. The annual "queer wedding" is held to promote equality regarding the marriage rights of two people of any gender or gender identity.
The event took place on Feb. 25 in the Allen Drawing Room.
The meeting was cut short so SFB could hold its budget clinic with student organizations.
SFB, which prior to the meeting had a total balance of $32,043.65, allocated a total of $952.
