On Saturday, July 30, at 12:05 a.m., Campus Police observed a 1988 Dodge Ram stopped outside Armstrong Hall.
When an officer approached the vehicle, with the driver inside and two passengers standing outside, the driver pulled away.
Campus Police activated the patrol car's lights and followed the car as it drove erratically along Metzger Drive. The driver proceeded to hit the curb several times during the pursuit before finally pulling over.
After a brief interaction with Campus Police, the driver was handcuffed and searched. At the time, officers noticed a strong odor of alcohol on the driver's breath. The driver struggled to keep his balance and had to be supported and placed in the patrol car.
The driver was then transported to Capital Health System for treatment of injuries sustained when he was hit by an acquaintance with a bat earlier in the evening.
While the driver was being treated, an officer on scene was approached by the two witnesses, who confirmed that they were passengers in the vehicle earlier in the night. The witnesses told the officer that all three parties had an argument and had left the vehicle, at which time the driver and the male passenger struck each other with an aluminum baseball bat.
The driver, during transport, confirmed that he had consumed several beers and shots of brandy that night.
All parties declined to sign complaints against each other.

On Tuesday, Aug. 30, at 9:50 p.m., Campus Police was called to the Green Lane footbridge.
Upon arrival, Campus Police met with another officer, who had found several drug-related items at the scene.
The officer produced a black metal box containing a multicolored marijuana pipe, a clear plastic bag containing a green leafy substance and a bottle of Visine.
The items were processed at Campus Police headquarters and placed in the evidence locker.
There is no information as to the owners of the property at this time.

On Friday, Aug. 26, at 7:40 p.m., Campus Police was dispatched to the Travers Hall office on a report of a theft.
Upon arrival, an officer met with a male resident of Travers Hall, who said that at approximately 4:30 p.m., he laid down to take a nap. The student told officers that he had his hat over his head, thus obstructing his vision.
About 15 minutes later, the student awoke to catch a glimpse of someone grabbing something from his room and walking out. The student told the officer that he was half-asleep at the time and thought the person was his roommate.
The student fell back to sleep, only to awake at 5:20 p.m. and find that his keys were missing from his desk.
Steps were taken to change the locks on the student's room.

On Wednesday, Aug. 31, at 3:40 a.m., Campus Police was dispatched to Eickhoff Hall on a report of criminal mischief.
Upon arrival, an officer observed broken glass on two of the panels of the east entrance door. One panel on of the north entrance door was also shattered.
A check of the building revealed no further damage. At this time, a senior staff member was called to take a report of the damages.
Messages were left with the Facilities department and with Building Services to fix and clean up the broken glass.
At this time there are no suspects or witnesses.
