On Wednesday, March 23 at 2:15 a.m., Campus Police was dispatched to the fifth floor of Travers Hall to investigate the reported odor of marijuana.
Upon arrival, officers met with the fifth-floor Community Advisor (CA) who said she smelled marijuana coming from a room. Officers knocked on the room door, which was answered by a male resident of the room. Officers noticed a smell of burnt marijuana emanating from the room.
The student gave officers permission to enter, at which time they found two other male students present in the room. The officers asked the students if they had been smoking marijuana, and they answered that they had not.
A subsequent search revealed five 12-ounce containers of beer. An officer also searched the area below the window of the room and found a cigarette containing a green leafy substance resembling marijuana on the roof below the room.
When asked about the cigarette, the students denied throwing it out the window.
The officers asked the students to empty the beer into the sink and dispose of the containers. The evidence was then transported to Campus Police headquarters and placed in the evidence locker. A report of the incident was referred to the Office of Residence Life.

On Saturday, March 26 at 2:05 a.m., Campus Police was dispatched to Decker Hall to investigate a report of moved vending machines.
Upon arrival, an officer met with a witness to the event. The witness said she observed two or three males moving the vending machines away from the wall.
An investigation revealed that no damage was done to the machines, and they were returned to their original positions against the wall.
A search of the area revealed no suspects.

On Wednesday, March 30 at 3:15 p.m., a male student came to Campus Police headquarters to report a theft.
The student said he had left his blue and black Jansport book bag in Eickhoff Dining Hall the previous evening at 6:30 p.m.
The student told Campus Police that his book bag was missing when he returned for it the next morning at 10:45 a.m.
The contents of the book bag were one 120 GB Acom Data Hard Drive, one history of Italian Renaissance art textbook, one physics textbook, one calculator and one five-subject notebook.
The student said that he checked the Eickhoff Hall office and Brower Student center Information Desk, but neither had information about the lost property.
At 6 p.m. the student contacted Campus Police to confirm that he had his book bag and its contents in his possession.

On Sunday, March 20 at 6 p.m., a woman called Campus Police to report stolen property.
The woman told an officer that while she was attending a Lions EMS class in the Social Science Building, money was stolen from her wallet and the wallets of two of her classmates.
In total, $82 in cash were stolen from the wallets, with the remaining contents left untouched.
The woman told Campus Police that the classroom was occupied by the EMS instructors and students from 2 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. The room was only left unattended for the last two minutes of the class.
